Default Sad Day

Well, it looks like I'm giong to have to sell my car.I have a 66 coupe that i started to restore, and found out that i lack the skills to finish the project, and cannot afford to have someone do it. I welded the quarter panel on incorrectly and it would take to much time or money to fix. Besides I don't have the time to complete the project with school and work. if anybody wants a project car, its a shell now, and the oakland, ca area.Let me know. It was fun while it lasted, and a certainly learned a lot, such as the value of a good plan, straight car to start with, and patients. Too bad.

bummer man,
just remember that when you get out of school, you still have a lot of good years ahead of you and there will still be plenty of classics to be had. And at that point in your life, you won't have to be so concerned about your finances, you will have more life experience under your belt, and you will have another more satisfying project on your hands. And you will see it to completion.

I bet you can find a buyer on Craigslist but I know it will still be a sacrifice. Good luck to you. Keep yo head up!

If you can part it out, you can probably get a lot more for it. Maybe enough to buy a better starting point. Just a thought ......

Get you another one in a little better shape next time, and take your time with it.. Im still just realizing the work, time, and money that I need to put into my baby.. I often think I should have just spent 7,000 on an almost done, or better off car. But then it wouldnt have been my own handy work that got it to the point that its at.. At least by building the car I can call it truely my own..

Is it absolutley necessary to sale it? Sometimes when you mess up you just have to walk away for a while. If you have a spot for it and nobody is on you to move it why not just throw a cover on it for a while? As far as the quarters go,you can cut them off just as easily as as you put them on and start over again unless you cut too much off. I hate when someone has a dream car to build and gets discouraged and sells it. I've done that a few times before and always end up hurting my legby trying to kick myself in the *** for letting them go. Anyways, good luck either way.
