RE: HELP! Should I buy this car?
I would run away from that car. Much better can be had. Just some things to think about as far as total price:
rims
tires
hood
roof
Price that stuff and see what your budget looks like just from those items.

RE: HELP! Should I buy this car?
I would also call that car a parts car. Somebody spraybombed the front of the engine silver to make it look better. I picked up my 68 coupe for $3200 and i used it as a daily driver. Do yourself a favor and
pass on it. Wait until you have enough to pick up a more solid carat a reasonable price. If your not planning on doing the work. It will cost you more to have that car fixed then to get one in better condition
good luck.

RE: HELP! Should I buy this car?
I had to chip in again here... I keep looking back at the photos of this car and I want to ask "WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS CAR???" And then I remember that someone DROVE IT THROUGH A HURRICANE and it all makes sense!
I have never seen a hood that looked as bad as this one. It looks more like an 80 year old hood than 40. I have to wonder if this is even a sensible parts car?
I think that is probably the best idea yet. It's worth a shot!

Better yet, tell them you will TAKE $400 to haul it off for them
