I'd buy it for a parts car if the motor is relatively fresh and runs. But the rest is too rusty for me.

I would run away from that car. Much better can be had. Just some things to think about as far as total price:

rims
tires
hood
roof

Price that stuff and see what your budget looks like just from those items.

Money pit.

You're much better off putting the $10,000 or more it would take to get this car in decent condition and buy one road worthy.

Welcome to the forum!
Now run away from that car as fast as you can! You can find a lot better project than that.....

I would also call that car a parts car. Somebody spraybombed the front of the engine silver to make it look better. I picked up my 68 coupe for $3200 and i used it as a daily driver. Do yourself a favor and
pass on it. Wait until you have enough to pick up a more solid carat a reasonable price. If your not planning on doing the work. It will cost you more to have that car fixed then to get one in better condition
good luck.

I had to chip in again here... I keep looking back at the photos of this car and I want to ask "WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS CAR???" And then I remember that someone DROVE IT THROUGH A HURRICANE and it all makes sense!

I have never seen a hood that looked as bad as this one. It looks more like an 80 year old hood than 40. I have to wonder if this is even a sensible parts car?

I think that is probably the best idea yet. It's worth a shot!
