It will be stampedon top of the inner fenders,a lotof times the drivers side iscovered in paint and you can't see it.However ifyou unbolt the passanger side, and pull the fender out a little, usually that number is still visablebecaust it sits just under the lip of thefender. I don't think 67's had a dash tag. The info is on the door tag but often these are removed. Also you may want to check the wiring harness behind the dash. There may be a build sheet folded into a small block and taped to the harness. It will be very fragile, so be careful if you find it.

Great idea to look for the build sheet. I have looked around for mine without luck, but have not tried the wiring harness behind the dash. I can't wait to get home to check there.

You are correct. Dash vin tags did not start until '68.

I'm hoping mine still has the build sheet, thanks for the possible location. Are there any other possibilities? I know on GM's it can sometimes be found under the passenger seat, sometimes on top of the fuel tank, sometimes ........

It seems like I have heard that a build sheet could be found inside a door - again, if this is true, you can expect it to be extremely fragile.
