ok so i got the grase for my speedometer and its still not steady. what can i do to solve this?

 

The only thing I can think of is maybe there is a slight bind or burr. Can you spin the cable with your fingers? Is the gear burr free? Maybe the gear is slightly canted where is enters the transmission. It could be a number of things but I bet it is just one little thing that can be easily overlooked.

i took my time to install it and i was calm. i can spin the cable so its not binded. theres no burrs on it. i went over ittaking my time and looking and double looking every aspect of this. i went to advance auto parts andone of the guys said it couldbe my speedo its self. has anyone heard of a speedo going bad. thanks valley for ur comment

 

lube the speedo itself where the cable goes in. (3in1 oil) don't over do it

 

whats 3in1 oil

 

its a brand of light machine oil at any hardware store.
