electronic ignition

Default electronic ignition

what do you guys think of the ignitor elec igntion conversion kits?
are they any good or would it be a waste of money?

I had one on my 71 when I bought it, but the rest of the diz was junk, so I just got a points replacement and didn't see much difference. That may be because the original one was junk though. It's just a beat 302 in there now, so I don't think it would matter anyway. Anyone see an improvement?(I'll put it back lol)

From what I have heard, the Pertronix is a worthwhile investment. I have also heard of the occasional failure but for the most part the feedback is good. The Crane and Mallory systems work well too. That said, I decided to go with a Ford Duraspark system. Parts are available everywhere and they are cheap enough to make ot cost effective to carry spares in the trunk.

No more points and condensor...any electronic ignition is a worthwhile investment.
