Default Vin number question!!

I just purchased a 66 coupe, the problem I have is that I can't seem to find a vin number on this car. The front aprons have been replaced with new ones, and the doors and not from this car. How do I know if the title I recieved is the right one for the car???

If the inner fender and doors have been replaced then you are SOL.

FYI:
"VIN number" translates to "Vehicle Identification Number number."

And if both the inner fenders and doors needed replacing, it must've been in a pretty sad state at one point!

The above poster is correct though. The only 3 places for the VIN is on the data tag (on the driver's door), the one seen one the drivers inner fender, and one last one hidden (on the inner fender) under the edge of the passenger bolt-on fender.

Yep, this car was in very bad shape. But when I purchased it all the hard work was already done. New rear rails. new front rails and aprons. new trunk drop-offs, new floor pans and the cowel patches were in it also. Someone put alot of time into this thing, cause it was done right. It also had a 66 289 hipo in it with a four gear tranny, and a narrowed N case 9 inch installed. I think it was worth 500.00 investment. Guess I will get ahold of Broadway titles and see if they can help with the title thing.

Sounds like you found a hellva' deal for 500 bucks. That Hipo engine is worth more than that, much less the cowl replacement. You done good kid! Have fun.
