Headers???????
torque, but in the horse power/torgue range we're dealing with, the difference is minimal. You have to be pushing big numbers to see the difference. Ease of installation is probably the biggest factor. Shortys tend to be easier to put in. But I've seen lousy shortys that are an absolute pain. A good set of long tube will easily slip in place, but you're also talking 351 in a 66. You'll need todo some investigating, like are you running a manual or auto, clearing any power steering,bell housing, or starter, etc, etc.
I put the JBA shorties on my 67 when I put my 351W and my FlamingRiver rack & pinion setup in there. Fit like a glove. Not pounding, no fussing, they just slipped right into place.
Only bad part was the $$$.
Trying to convince the wife that a $600.00 set of headers was necessary was a tough sell.
