Default export brace

I just got my export brace and was going to bolt it on temporarily while I fit my torque boxes in and dont like the fitment of them. It seems to me like they are designed to be put on upside down. I just looked through the engine compartment thread and they are put on with the cup up. Seems to me that the curved edge should face down so you dont seethe edge. Is there a manufacturer that supplies them like this or would I have to customize the one I have for the look I want.

if you take a cross section of one of the arms that go from the shock tower to the firewall the brace is going to have a U look to it. I want it upside down. As for fitment I am sure I will have to fight with it because it has been on a rotisserie for so long. However if it doesnt fit I will just turn the car over until it flexes like I want.

That's pretty much the way they all come. You'll need to fab your own to go different.

I didnt really care for the cupped look either, but it grows on you. Now I like it just as it is.
