is it possible
is it possible to drill holes in a 4 lug rear drum to make it a 5 lug....im asking because i found a 5 lug front disk connversion kit for my 65 i6 and i dnt want 5lug front 4lug rear and i also notice that all the awsum rims are 5lug
Erik, that's a valid question for someone new to cars. Think about what you are asking, and perhaps draw it out on paper. You are asking to change a pattern with the lugs as points, from a square to a star. Try drawing that out on paper and see if any of the points intersect.
Actually the answer is yes. A good machinist can weld the holes shut on your existing axles and re-drill them for five lugs. I had it done to the front and rear of a 79 Fox body car. It's not cheap.

This being possible, it should be entirely possible to do the same in the back... If there is a will there is a way...
