Default Door?

This question is in regards to my 68. What is it that keeps the door open? My doors both want to close on me usually when my leg is still outside the car.

Door check spring, it's on the lower hinge, looks kinda S shaped. I can't find anything about a kit to repair this, but I found plenty of lower hinge replacements.

No, there's a spring replacement kit available. Most Mustang wherehouses should sell it. You do, however, need a special tool (cheap at your local parts store) to get the springs in andout without threatening yourself with some serious injury. Using pliers is not a good idea

Check link in last post. Not sure, you can call the place or someplace closer and ask.
