Wiring or fuse trouble?
Hey guys,
2 weeks ago I bought my first Mustang, it's a 1965 that has been rebuilt and I am loving it. The guy that I bought it from did a great job keeping it clean and it looks and runs great. But with all older cars, there is always something that needs work. The wipers do not work and yesterday i noticed that when the car is on there is a clicking in the dash and specifically behind the wiper switch. it clicks about every minute and when it clicks the radio and headlights flicker. Unfortunately I am only a beginner with cars and am learning more each day so am not sure if I should change out the fuses or if it's possibly a wiring issue. The horn and lighter also do not work. That is not a big deal but seeing the headlights flicker and hearing the noise at the wiper switch is concerning me. Thanks for any help given. And here is a pic of the new addition to the family haa

For some reason your question came in (on my computer) over sized and hard to read. However a couple of thoughts--First thing that I would do is to look very carefully between the back ot the cylinder head and the firewall--There should be a braided wire connector between the two. If it's there forget that. Next reach up under the dash by the light switch--Hold your hand on the switch and see if you feel a vibration in time with the clicking. If so suspect a short in the headlight system. The switch has built in circuit breakers. From there its hunt till you find.
If not the headlights pull one fuse at a time till the problem goes away then search from there.
