Default Cobra Jet Power

I’m looking to get some more power out of a 428 that’s got 5,000 miles on the rebuild. It didn’t get hardened valve seats so I’m thinking about getting the aluminum Edelbrock performer rpm heads and might even get some tri-y headers. I’ve found the heads complete for around $1250 and the headers are $1300. I think I can afford the heads but I'm not too enthused about spending $1300 on a set of headers. Is there anywhere I can find cheaper tri-y’s(if it's even worth the trouble of instalation), and are the Edelbrock performer rpm heads the way to go?

Why do you need tri-y's?

Headers are one of the best upgrades for any FE motor. However they are a horror show to install, especially in Mustamgs. Most guys with FE's install them as the motor is going into the car. $1,300.00 is alot of coin for headers, Hooker Super Comps run about $350-$400. I've heard alot of good stuff (and a little bit of not so good stuff) about they Edelbrock heads. Do you have CJ heads on the motor?

There's not really a good reason for wanting tri-y's. From what I understand, it’s a Carroll Shelby design, and I think they would be the best way to go (for performance and installation reasons). The heads on the car now are cobra jet heads. The reason I was looking into getting the Edelbrock heads was because of the motor guy I was going to have work on the heads on it now. He said go aluminum if you can afford it because of the reasons of power, weight, and easy starts. It was going to be in the $6-700 dollar range to do the headwork. Can you find me some information on the Hooker Super Comps?
