Just have to correct you here: A double pumper will get the same, or better, fuel economy that a vacuum secondary carb. It's all up to the tuner. The idle circuits are designed a little richer, but that's easy to correct on any Holley. The double pumper will provide better highway performance/economy due to the mechanical secondary design. In many cases, the high RPM's associated with highway travel will start to open the secondaries on a vacuum secondary carb, especially if they are tuned for max performance. This will suck the gas money right out of your wallet like nothing else.

Is this your daily driver ? A double pumper will double pump the money right out of your wallet. Sucks gas like no other. Go with a vaccuum secondary.
