Default im not sure why this is so popular!?!?

Ok, so I've noticed that a lot of people are looking for an explorer rear end. The funny thing is, I had gotten one a few months ago, cleaned it all up, put on rust prevention, and when i went to install it, it was way to short. I was amazed, but i didnt have to time/money to lengthen it. So now I have had it for a while, and I guess what I am trying to say is.. 1.) why is the swap so popular? and 2.) is anyone interested in it?

Way too short for a 67 means it's a better fit for the 2" narrower 65-66s.
