exhaust doughnut

Default exhaust doughnut

my 1966 200 6 mustang keeps burning out exhaust doughnuts. can anyone tell me why and how to correct this?

Are your motor mounts shot?
Is your exhaust system solidly mounted or does it move with the engine? (it should be able to move with the engine)

I think he means he pattern the exhaust is leaving on the floor from the exhaust gases. Like its running dirty or something, putting junk out the exhaust and leaving deposits on the floor.

Maybe he means the gasket, I'm not sure.

It's a little gasket that goes in between the exhaust tubingand the exhaust manifold. Mineleaks a lotand I'm still working on a fix for it.

Wore motor mounts the exhaust pipe and manifold aint lineing up or just not tighen it up enough

Go Google something called the "Header Buddy" - I used that on mine and no more leaks!
