So did you just cut holes in your old grille or did you buy the GT grille without the bars?

I cut holes in a stock grill and inserted the lamps. built reinforcements to mount them to the base of the grill

I'm not a fan of the GT lights, but I like JamesW's idea. I may do that very thing.

One question, did you pick the spacing that you like or were there convenient mounting points? I kinda like them closer together.

Thats a cool grill to, but you will have to design the rest of the car accordingly with either grill.

Wouldn't it work as a stand alone restomod grille?

If I get the GT grille kit, does that mean I have to go for the clone GT look?

What else would I need for the GT look besides the grille with fog lights, GT emblems all around, and the dual exhaust rear valance?

No I didn't mean to sound like that. I guess I should reword it. A grille is a big defining element of how the car looks, its the first thing most people see. It will create a large impact on how the rest of the car looks and flows. By any means you don't have to clone the rest of your car to look like a certain model, thats the whole idea of customizing your classic.
