Default Starting problem?

I have a 65 289 A Code with stock iginition with a pertronoix.

Battery holds 12.2 volts when sitting 12.6 volts just after I shut down. Battery is 14 volts with no load and 13.8V with a full load at idle. Alternator checks good.

I had a spark on my Coil at the positive side but that was due to a bad connection which has been fixed.

When I go to start the carit usuallystarts quickly as it should. Other times the cars starts like it has a weak battery that starter chucks turning over about 1 every 2-3 seconds. If I try to run the starter 6 times or soI willdrainthe battery to the point I will need a jump. Once I drive for a while the battery is back to 12.2 volts after shut down.

My questions is this.

Can a bad starter draw extra amps from battery and drain it quicker than a good starter. Could I just have a bad battery, although it keeps passing battery test with my own battery tester and the ones at autoparts store?

could be both, you could have a starter, altenator, that is draining your battery, you could have a ****ty battery that just blows.

I have checked the ALT and the BATTERY and both "CHECK GOOD". I can say that with the Radio, driving lights, fog lights, Heater, and interior lights (Full Loadf) my Batt volt is 13.8~14.0 Volts. So I know that the alt is good. There is no audible slipping noise on the belts and I replaced the Started Sol a few months ago.

I dont understand what your problem is. When you start you car, it sounds like the battery is dead?

The starter chugs very slowly, as in the battery can barely turn the Starter. If I have the console lights on they will go very dim and the car may or may not start. I know the battery is being drained severly however it keeps checking good.
