I also installed the Tin Man connectors. They fit perfectly and were a good price. Pretty stout, as well.

I bolted mine when i installed them and later had them welded in. I dont know much about different varietys...i order mine from summit installed them in an hour. Hope this helps. The subframe connectors in general made a huge difference.

Hawkins
did you notice much difference in performance after you welded them? im considering putting some in but am curious if welding them actually makes that much of a difference.
Not that i could tell. I know that there will be constant stress on the frames and welded them for piece of mind and to prevent any problems down the road. The subframe connectors in general made a HUGE difference...one of the best mods ive purchased .

Hope this helps.

My biggest problem is torque... the body twists when I launch. Did you notice if the Tinman kit reduced the twist on acceleration?

I bought all the metal (2" square tubing, 1/8"? plating, 2" angle iron pieces) for about $26. Made/installed them myself. Come on guys, learn to weld >_<

For the price, I may just have to try Tinman connectors.

+1

I was one of the original "group buy" customers of the Tin Man kit - very solid, perfect fit.

I would suggest that if you still have flex after welding these in, then you'll need to connect them with a either a 4pt or 6pt cage.

I ordered my Tin Man's yesterday. Spoke to a nice lady named Amy. She took my order and in 5 minutes we were done. She later called back and said that she can ship USPS as opposed to UPS. She saved me over $25 in shipping versus shipping them UPS.
