Default Subframe connectors

Does anyone have experience with different weld in subframe connectors? I've heard there are fit problems with different kits, and want to get the best kit without relocating or modifyingthe spring mounts. I'm starting to see a couple paint cracks from the body flexing when launching, and want to stop it now.

I've got the Total Control weld in subframe connectors. The floors had to be cut to install them.

I have Global West connectors and basically had to cut the front mounts off and position them so that they were straight. They look nice but quality left much to be desired. I have a convetible, if that matters. I didn't have to cut the floors or anything.

global west subframes is what we recommend and try to install on most of our customers cars.the only thing isyou need to modify the rear area to fit Cal-tracs, which migh not be an issue for you and isn't that big of a deal.

From the research I've done so far, this seems to have the least issues and appears to be quite strong. I really don't want to cut an original S code if I don't have to (just in case somedaysomeone wants to remove them).

I just installed Maier Racing Subframe connectors and they fit with no cutting at all. I had to weld on a few spacers to some of the mounts to get a tight fit, but they are awesome. They mount (weld)to two many locations on the frame rails eliminating any point of flex or twist. Check them out at maierracing.com. I think I paid $278 for them.

I love mine. They are by far one of the cheapest, best modifications that you can do. You will immediately tell a difference in the responsiveness of the car. It feels MUCH stiffer.

did you notice much difference in performance after you welded them? im considering putting some in but am curious if welding them actually makes that much of a difference.
