Ya I am cheap too. As long as it gets the job done, the cheaper the better.

I am assuming that since you have a Ford Racing crate motor, you are still using the balancer that came with it, correct? If so, the timing indicator bolts to the passenger side of the balancer. You can use the third pointer listed (billet), but I'd just go to your Ford dealer or a pick-a-part and get one off of a 5.0L engine.

Im currently ordering the same VModulator as well. Its a good idea to use a steel hose from the carby to the modulator so the exhaust doesnt cause it to rip/tear down the road. Use about 3 in. of rubber hose at each end and you will be good to go.

The timing pointer depends on what you have. The first and second ones are the same. They bolt to the cover(which both require a pre-existing hole to mount to) on the driverside. You could run that one if you could get it on there, IF, you don't have a driverside exit. If it's stock, you won't have that.

Default RE: I have 2 questions:

It looks like I will have to go with one that is for a 5.0 (87-93) which mounts on the passenger side, because I have a staggered outlet radiator and the lower radiator hose is on the driver side.
And it looks like the tranny modulator should not be a big deal. My understanding it comes pre set from Ford. I can adjust it if neccessary.
Thanks Again.
