Default bum spring or no?

right now im trying to figure out why my car has a 1/2 inch difference in ride hight on the front. i have it all apart and ive noticed a couple things; 1 is that i had both springs not completely seated right, theres a little lip that the bottom of the spring sits up against and each side was not fully touching this lip/stop the higher side was off by like 3/8 and the other was 1/4. 2 the springs are not exactly the same size ones 1/8 taller. lastly is in the attached picture the taller springs flattened side is thicker. I can easily fix the first problem but the spring problems im not quite sure what to do. Any feed back would be very helpful

Where did you purchase the springs from?

They should be up against that little lip on the saddle, but that shouldnt make much of a difference. Perhaps they sent you 2 different rated springs and the one is just more compressed than the other.

I'd put the 1/8" one on the driver's side to compensate driver weight.

i got the springs from canadian mustang and there usually spot on except for these and the carlo bar i bought but from the look of that most of them tend not to fit. i might drop into canadian mustangs and see what they say about the springs before i got ahead and put them back in i got another problem in the front end so im in no rush to get it back on the road.
