Default torque converter

I need to know if I need to replace my torque converter, and if so, which one do I get (and where)? I just want a stock one, nothin crazy.

It's an 200 I6 with a stock C4. I'm rebuilding the C4, and don't know if I need to re-use or get another. Let me know if more info is needed, cause I'm clueless.

Always use a new torque converter with a transmission rebuild.

good, I'm glad I knew that and didn't use the old one.

Sorry USMC, the link was dead. But I did search O'Reilly's website and they had one. Why I thought a general parts store wouldn't have one, I have no idea.

The have three to choose from (it must be a 24 spline input shaft):

2300-2500 RPM (seems to be most stock-ish)
Comp Cams 274 (2:1 torque mult.)
Comp Cams 284 (2.2:1 torque mult.)

none have prices, but I couldn't imagine more than $200.

So which one should i get? Any ideas?

Well I called them, and none of them have the ring gear installed already. Now what do I do...

Savior, none of the torque converters have ring gears, its part of the flexplate. Get the cheapest rebuilt TQ you can find for your I6. should be less than 120 bucks

since it's a 200ci, the ring (starter) gear is welded onto the TC.

After like 67 or something, they put it on the flexplate.
