A ford V8 in a miata...........that sounds interesting. My buddy had an old Z car with a 350, so why not a 302 in a miata? I say commence project dominator.

That rx7 idea is great. I helped my friend put a upgraded LS1 with a t56 into a 3rd gen rx7, it was such a new swap that we were testing new products for companies. Like subframes and wiring harnesses, he had to get a complete diagram and figure it out wire by wire. That was the best handling car I have ever drove, and the new setup didn't change anything, it was only about 50lbs more. But it was a ridiculous amount of power in that little shell. But you could do a second gen swap because they put 5.0's in that body style and the research has already been done.

matt when you have something valueable other than "neither" please post. If it had been accompanied with a reason that would've been fine but it wasnt.

i would really like to do the monster swap, but i run into the problem of the dash and my long legs. i want to do something not charted a whole lot yet.

mat11089 is right, he didn't say anything offensive and he offered his opinion that was obviously neither option. And like he said sometimes you will get an answer that you don't like but deal with it, its an open forum, you get peoples opinions whether you like it or not. I can understand your response if he said something offensive about your idea but he didn't, we are a good community of people trying to help each other and give each other our opinions for help or fun, lets keep it that way. No need to jump at each other, if its really bad you can ignore it and the mods will take care of it, thats why they are here.
