autocross?
heres some info and to look up when and where the closet one to you is scca.org .Solo is the cones in the parking lot your timed. They class you by your car and what if anythings been done to it.Thes a class for every car with any number of mods or bone stock they try to keep it even so its all on the driver how well they know and can drive the car. They also have road racing and rally and they both are classed the same way its alot of fun try it once.If you do it and love it theres driving schools for it they have once a year same set up you learn alot doing that.
heres a couple videos to watch http://youtube.com/watch?v=oW9D_odtC...ed&search= and this ones proof anything can do it http://youtube.com/watch?v=bavQpUmJAwM
Its a lot of fun. I don't like to swap paint, so the timed eventsare for me. I have more fun with the street tires than the sticky's on the track. The car is a lot slower but its more fun to slide thru the turns. What mods are you doing?
A 351 in a '67 already puts you in either Street Mod, C-Prepared, X-Prepared, or E-Modified depending on what else has been done. Street Mod is pretty wide open as far as engine/powertrain mods go, and pretty free for swapping actual suspension components. But SM is quite limited on chassis tweaks - very little in the way of chassis stiffening mods are OK here. Prepared is more open for chassis and suspension, but has a higher minimum weight (3000 lbs with that 351 in CP, which you may be pretty close to).I doubt that you're at the XP or EM level of mods yet. You can download the SCCA Solo rulebook from scca.com, but keep in mind that the 2008 rules come out early next year. Feel free to ask questions either here or in the "Other Professional Racing" forum.
I used to auto-X the thumbnail car (it's semi-retired for now).
