ORIGINAL: BA Mustang

No his is the E kit. The E2 kit is made for 65-66.

E kit 67-68
E2 65-66
Yes, My kit is the E kit for 67-68 Mustangs, the E2 kit is for the 1st generation Stangs. I have the Maier racing kit except for the trunk lid and tail light panel. I have the Shelby/California Special trunk lid and Shelby tail light panel. I filled in the notches in the upper and lower nose for the driving lights because I used a 67 Shelby grille.

dang 367hp, I wouldve thought maybe for a performer rpm top kit for 351w, but for a 289/302 thats real good.

I love this thread thanks for keeping us updated on your progress!

I have a question for you regarding your application of POR15 (i'm getting ready to do the same thing):

I was under the impression that you just used phosphoric acid and then applied the POR15 directly over the painted areas - do you actually need to strip all the paint off before applying POR15?

DO NOT PUT POR15 OVER PAINT, it will not stick and it will just peel off,...POR stands for paint over rust,...YOU MUST use their three step process,..

1. degreaser
2. metal prep
3. por 15

if using on bare metal, scuff it up a bit with some sand paper,...and then spray degreaser and let sit for about 10 minutes, wash clean with clean water, spray metal prep and let sit for about 15-20 minutes and wash clean again, dry, then you are ready for the po15,...if you dont do these steps, you will not have good results and it will begind to peel on you

rear shackles, u bolts, 5 leaf reverse eye springs, kyb gas a ajust shocks, 1/2 lowering blocks, and shock plates,..not shown,..just waiting on the rear to get back from rebuild cause i want to put it in as a whole ,...
i am worried about how low it is going to sit since i have made up my mind on wheels,...18x8 in the rear and 17x8 up front,...i should have the whole tire tucked in the rear maybe more if i planned it right...hopefully!

Jamie, just curious. It looks like you have an air gap intake on the car. That is what I am using. Do you think you will have any hood clearance issues? Thanks.
