The "brakes" on my car are great. Rolling down a 1 degree gravel incline at 2 mph, I push the pedal to the floor (nearly a clang sound there is so little resistance) and it takes 10ft+ to stop.

I was thinking about dragging my foot outside the door to help. Youll notice in my signature pic that I am in the grass with the front wheels. That's because it didnt stop in time.

Untouched since at least 1988 manual drums. A disclaimer, I am new to this, and I only do research and learn a lot about working on a specific part (like brakes) when I am ready to do the work. It keeps me from getting overwhelmed. So I dont know what I am talking about when it comes to brakes... yet.

The fluid level is fine, I am just assuming that there is air in the lines. I dont want to hijack the thread any further, but I will post more about this in the spring when I plan to do an overhaul on them. This winter is for doing a bit of research as the car is stored 500 miles from where I live. I plan to drop in a Laurel Mountain dual resevoir kit, and maybe replace the rubber lines, wheel cylinders, and do a rebuild kit for each drum.

PS - The drums worked fine when my Uncle purchased this car in 1994 and drove it home 20 miles. It has not been driven since, and was stored for five years before that. I intend to do manual disc brakes in about 5 years when I do a complete tear down and restore. (SSBC)

so basically i need a hood and i have a whole car

i need to figure out what i want to do,...

1. gt350 fiberglass hood with steel frame fron maier racing

2. convience my friend to sell me his extra 68 turn signal hood,...cut the turn signal part out, weld it into a 66 hood and mold a gt350 scoop on

3. 67 shelby style hood for the 66,...

those are what i am trying to decide on,..i want something different and leaning toward option 2!
