Looking sweet. I just put the grill/valance back on mine for the first time. It's so much fun vs. sanding rust etc.

Do the holes closer to the license plate serve any purpose? Back in the day, were they for cooling ducts for the brakes?

That car is begging for a hood.

Question: Look at your drivers side headlight trim piece, see how the fender sticks up a little bit vs your passenger side? I am about to buy those and was wondering if you are satisfied with the fit of the reproduction "eyelids" for the headlights. Not nitpicking, I promise, just curious.

One other question, I saw that you sold your interior to a restoration shop, did you happen to keep the pony/corral/wings/fog lights? I am looking for "driver" condition parts for my grill. Thanks.

man i dont have anything left, i sold just about everything i took off the car, including nuts and bolts and stuff,...

the holes in the center will be run to the brakes, correct,..i actually have the tubing, i need to fab up a mounting bracket and plate to mount behind the brakes,...

and yes it is in need of a hood big time,...that is just about the last major piece and then i should be able to take her for a spin!

those parts are all original parts from the car and wher ein great condition,...i was almost under the impression that was some sort of factory defect,...almost every 65-66 i see has that,..i dont know what it is,..i just went to a show with over 60 cars and more then half had it,...so i dont feel so bad,...nothing a little body work cant take care of,...

Just want to congratulate you on your tenacity and effort up to now - don't give up!

I am crazy about mustangs yet have 2 kids and a busy schedule plus a wife that has no interest. I am living vicariously through your project. Stuff like this keeps me interested and full of hope that I might have a classic stang of my own someday. BTW I am 42. Keep up the good work and keep showing us updates!

thanks man, comments like these and the fact that one day and hopefuly one day soon i will get to drive a classic mustang,...always wanted one since the day my best friend in high school showed up at my house in a 1966 6cyl with 22k original miles on it that be bought from a catholic nun for 2500$ in 1997 the day he got his license,..the summers spent in that thing driving around being 17 year olds,...the trouble we got into and the stupid **** we did,..kinda brings it all back...hahahaha

i honestly think,..everyone wants a mustang at some point in their life,..only the lucky get to actually have one....
