Default 69-70 Window Guide Bushing / Grommet

Does anyone know how these parts "fit" into a 69 Mach side window assembly?

I'm getting ready to glue-in a new window and I'm wondering if I need to pick some of these up.

Regards,

Scott

Have you thought about doing a 70' bolt in conversion? The '69 glue-in windows will leak inevitably sometime down the road....just my advice. I did mine w/o any modifications or trouble.

How much would this cost do to? how much of the 69 stuff will have to be replaced with the '70?

I have all my windows out and one of them has to be reglued cuz the stupid PO doesn't know how to align windows and the tracks are way off. How much is involved with this '70 mod?

From what I've seen it's new brackets (which happen to run $100-200 for the set and are hard to find) and new glass.

I've considered the conversion but decided to go with the glue-in option for now.

Has anyone used the Window Guide Bushing / Grommets?

I made my own for the 69 mach. I took the old ones out and glued some dense foam to the old ones and greased them down. Oh, these are a pain in the butt to remove by the way (brackets not the guides). If your window rattles bad, new ones will not help, they need to be thicker, hence the foam I put on mine. It also helps to make sure the guide rods are firmly attached. I had to re-weld one of mine.
