You have hit a HOME RUN if your numbers are correct. The next numbers should be 2477 which is the Shelby Production unit number. The car was shipped to Dick Bohn in Gretna LA in March of 1968. Their is no other info listed. Make sure you check this info to make sure nothing has been messed with as sometimes numbers canbe moved form one car to another. This is on page 877 and 960 in the 1997 Registry. Their are several "S" code verts. Good luck as these cars mint, usually will sell for over a quater mil. Their should be a Shelby tag rivited over the VIN on the drivers side door. It should read 8TO3S177989-02477. Also their should be aSpecial Performance Vehicle tag rivited to the drivers door near the Ford tag. One other thing to look for is the "Buck Tag", this will be on the passanger side inner fendertop near the hood hingeand will have the Ford VIN and maybe evenhave "SHELBY" stamped in it. If he car is original, you might be able to find a copy of the build sheet taped to the wiring harness behind the gauge panel. This will be very frail so be careful.
