colour
hi lads
i just checked my decals and my original colour is ivy green. is this a common colour and what do you think of it, my coupe gt has a black vinl roof and black on black interior so i think it might suit better than the red it is now.
Also what are your taughts of putting2 black racing stripes on it.

WITH Vinyl top: no blackracing stripes.
Without Vinyl Top: no black racing strpes. With that vy Green I'd go like white/cream racing stripes on it.
The ive green with a black top was pretty common, but it WAS good looking.

My brother's '66 coupe was orig. Ivy Green - and there were a lot of green cars (Different shades) in the 60s-70s. These were the days of green "****" carpet and Alvacado green kitchen appliances. So, yes it is a common colour.
If you want show points, then Ivy Green W/O the stripes, unless we have a true Shelby here, in which case IMHO shame on anyone for not keeping it true to orig. But with the tag calling for Ivy Green and having a vinyl top, I doubt it's Shelby.
If you just want your car to look good and are not worried about points in a show,go for what you like. The green is not a bad colour, and a lot of folks have red and black (And after that movie - Elanor color) cars, green may be a nice eye catching change, and I have always liked the stripes.
Whatever you decide... show us some pic.s!
Sorry, you did say "Coupe GT" I knew it wasen't Shelby
