Default steering wheel restoration

I have a '65 woodgrain deluxe steering wheel with some cracks in it, anyone have any experience with restoration service providers that do this type of work? The other option is to buy a reproduction...and I may end up there but wanted to solicit member feedback on either approach.
Thanks,

From the FAQ
http://www.dealsonwheels.com/parts/company.aspx?c=37

I've heard steering wheel restore can be rather pricey but heh, might be worth the $$$ to maintain the original...good luck!!

Boaters would know more about this...

Ask at the Marine Pro shop. I suspect good ol' teak oil would get you pretty far...
