I agree. Even cars that are built like this support the industry on which our hobby relies.
If it were only that simple. Production of the various parts tends to follow where the market - and the money - appears to be. By way of example, have you shopped for latest-generation rubber in 15" sizes lately?
So if this guy were to buy a set of body panels or a new interior for that Mustang, his money will appear to be somewhere else? What my original comment meant was that there are still a lot of original Mustang parts on that car. If he has to replace them, his money is supporting the people who make and sell the parts I need for my car.

However, I can tell you for certain that I won't ever need his suspension or wheels for my car.

to each his own. personally, i think its an abomination. having said that, his tastes may not be the same as others after all, its his car. there are many restomods here that have drawn criticism for going too far....at what point is it not right? however, i think this donk is a much better idea than the crusher. wouldnt you say? on the other hand, i have seen very original, relativel rare mustangs that have restomodded to the point where it made me cringe. i dont believe you should go all original everytime, but certainly this donk or dink or whatever the hell it is is much better than being flattened. on second thought, after seeing the pics again, the crusher may have been a better option...

Save the car. Crush the lift kit, wheels, and the owner.

Makes me think of the scene from Gone in 60 Seconds.

It can always be "un-lifted" should the current owner lose interest, move on to another project, and sell it. In that light, it is absolutely better than being crushed.
