Help!!! 1970 parking brake question
OK. I screwed myself over[:@] I just got through putting in new floor pans and torque boxes and a bunch of other stuff. What I didn't do is cut the holes in the pan and torque box for the parking brake cable from the parking brake pedal assembly. I'll make the excuse that everything was so rusty that that I couldn't tell where it was suposed to go, but I still should have figured it out before I put everything in. Anyway, can anyone describe to me the path that the cable takes from the pedal. I think it goes through the floor pan right where the pan makes the turn from the vertical firewall to the angled toe board. and misses the very top of the torque box and then goes through angled top frontof the torque box. Can someone provide dimensions maybe??? Or a picture?? Please help me fix my screw up!!!
Thanks. Pictures would be great. Hopefully it doesn't turn out to be a big PITA for me. I'm hoping I can get to where it needs to go with a hole saw. The good thing is that I'm not building a show car, but just a solid driver. As long as it works I'll be happy. Thanks again
Shoot me your email and ill send the pictures. Should be what you need becasue my drivers side floor pan and top of the torque are exposed.
Do you remember if you left the cable runner installed? If you did this should be an easy fix.
Pictures show from the top all the way thru the fram rail.
