if you do a good job patching it then you wont be able to tell anything has been done to it, and if it doesnt look to pretty, who cares? its gonna be hidden anyway

Its part of the inner fender, fits under the rear section of the outer fender behind the rear section of the apron. In the restoration guide its numbered 02044

1970 Mach1
I searched through 5 sites and had no luck at all finding a patch for it.

make a patch
I might have to. It's not flat which is the problem, i'll have to match the curve - want to use as little filler as possible.

the best way to make a patch is to cut out all the rusted metal (as little as possible, but get rid of the rust)

then take some cardboard paper and form it over the hole, trace it then cut it out and use that as a template for your metal peice

it will take a little effort, but it can be done and shouldnt look to bad, and it will be all covered, so you wont really have to use any filler
