I have used a product called Lizard Skin on an old Coupe and it worked great. It is made for the floorpans, can be rolled on or sprayed on (spraying is sooo much easier) and is water-based, making clean-up easy with just soap and water... No tearing of flesh or making peace with God. It wasn't cheap, but it worked great as a sound deadener and was supposed to be heat and rust resistant (resistant is much different that -proof). Just another idea to check out....

cmanf that looks awsome. I wasn't thinking of doing the engine bay but it only makes sense to if im going to do the underside.
