Based on the flow numbers for their port size, and the fact that Edelbrock makes other heads that are really good, I'm quite certain those Pro Port CNC'd heads are a thouroughly badass head for a street car. And the money you save vs. something more exotic, can go into custom cam, aftermarket block, better rotating assembly, a nitrous setup etc.

Dunno, only found like 2 or 3 places on the net that list them, and they all say "New item, call for pricing." They're not even listed in the cylinder head section on Edelbrock's site, but the part number for the heads is listed as an option in the power package section, 51319 for the 170cc port version, and 51309 for the 190cc port version. Also, the flow data sheet only lists the flow data for the 51309. Given the price of their other heads, like the Vic Jr CNC, you can prolly get a pair of the Pro Ports for around $1,000 bare, provided no one is price gouging because they're new. The Edelbrock heads are very well priced. Try calling Edelbrock direct and asking.

It's just the heads themselves, no valves, no springs, no retainers and no locks. So you'd need to get those valve train components and then assemble the heads. If you call Edelbrock direct, you could prolly get a set of them assembled, or they'd know where you can. Assembled is obviously more, prolly around $1,300-1,500

Looking at their website, the Pro Port heads are simply raw castings. They are unported and unfinished. They include valve seats and guides, but they're not installed. The chambers are ridiculously small to allow you to size them yourself. They're sold for people who want to do their own porting, not as a finished head. Yes, they will be cheap as is, but you'll fork out a lot more having them finished.

You're looking at the Pro Port(ers)raw castings, which yeah, are the full race version heads that are designed for professional head porters that want to make the heads to their needs. The new Pro Port CNC heads though aren't listed in that section, or any other. They come already CNC ported from Edelbrock, with 60cc chambers I think, and either 170cc or 190cc intake ports. Like I said, already CNC ported, but they don't have them anywhere on their site. All they have is in the head spec section under flow data .pdf is flow numbers for the 51309(190cc port head, designed for 351/strokers). If you do a google there are only a few sites that come up that even have the heads listed, they're pretty much brand new, I get the impression they've only been out in the last month or 2 since I haven't seen that stuff on their site before. Yes, confusing I know, they gave the heads the same name as the professional raceraw castings, but the Pro Port CNC are a different head, basically a next generation factory CNC'd Performer RPM head. Hopefully they'll put something up on their site in the cylinder head section soon.

Well, knowing that Edelbrock makes good heads already, and their Performer RPM's with the 170cc intake port(not the Pro Port version, can't find any data on that one) is on par with AFR 165's, and looking at the flow numbers on the Pro Port 190 when Compared to RHS 180's and 200's, AFR 185's, Canfield 192's etc, it looks like the new Edelbrock Pro Ports have an edge. The 190's even slightly outflowed(just by alittle bit)across the entire lift range the CHI 3V 185's. And the 190 Pro Port even outflowed the Victor Jr heads with a 210cc port with a bit of room to spare. They're prolly gonna be in the same price range as the standard RPM heads they sell now, maybe a bit more expensive. The performance you get for the money, I'd guess will be quite good. My next build will prolly be a 351W(possibly a stroker or big bore setup of some sort) and I'll prolly use those 190cc heads, use the extra few grand I save over a more exotic head and put it into other areas.
