Default I Hate undercoating

This stuff is driving me nuts. I can't afford to blast so i have been scraping this stuff off after hitting it with the heat gun. I just have the wheel wells left to go but I am using my elbow grease up pretty fast...
Sorry just ranting

Yea, that crap sucks to get off. Are you putting new undercoating on or painting it?

I used a cupped wire wheel (coarse twisted wire) on a 4 1/2" grinder. I did the whole underside of my car and it worked great. It is pretty fast and easy. Only problem is that it throws that crap around pretty good. I worea paint respirator and eye protection. I got covered in the residue, but it washed off.

I tried a wire wheel on my drill but it didn't work very well. i didn't get down to metal. I might try it on my grinder though...

Id be careful using a twisted wire wheel on sheetmetal...

And rubberized undercoating does offer sound deadening, or, atleast the cans say so...

With the 4 1/2" grinder and the twisted cupped wire wheel I could control it well enough that I left the paint where I wanted and took it off where I wanted.
