Has anyone tried to convert a classic mustang key
to the new "switchblade" style keys?

I'm wondering if this Key Only Application can be
converted to work with a vintage style key cut
and my Viper Alarm? I have already converted my
trunk lock key to match my door/ignition keys, so
I only need one key as it is. Also, I can buy a
kit for my automatic garage door opener to
operate off of the accessory button on my Viper
key fob.

I think it would be cool to have a small switch
blade key fob, that works on all locks of the car,
locks/alarms and unlocks/disarms and will open my
garage door!

Nope, haven't tried it, but a good idea.

What I want to know is how you re-keyed the trunk to work off the door/ignition key.

Cool concept but you play fabricator on this one pretty easy for the switch blade part of it.
Get a copy made cut some aluminum Ace hardware has the spring machine screws and lil spacers I might make one now that Im looking @ it.
Not a techno wiring guy unfortunately.

 

I dont like it the 2 keys is part of the charm the older cars have like metal dash am radio only.If im gonna do that much work id just shave off the door handles and install popers on them.
