Weird Horn
When i bought my car there was this bright yellow wire running from the front horns into the car. Later, when i finally looked at it i reasized that it ran into the cab and was hooked up to a seprate horn button. One of the weirdest things i have ever seen in my car. Have you guys ever seen anything like this?

It seems it's just ahardwired horn. Nothing major, as long as you aren't having battery issues, hardwiring something doesn't normally causea problem.
My motto: If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

If you have the time and wanna make it look right, I would say fix it. The bright yellow wiring has to go tho. It looks like hell. LOL!!!
EDIT: I've used those buttons before (called doorbells at the auto parts store) to bypass the OEM horns. On my 83 s-10 blazer and my 89 mustang, there were problems with the contacts under the horn buttons. The blazer would get warm in the summer and "slouch" into place on the connector and would keep going off till I remove the whole button assy. the Stang would just stick in place if I hit the horn. It was funny tho. I got yanked one day while driving and the cop stuck his hand in the car (apparently he thought it was aN2O button). He asked me what it was, I said it was for my hornand he pressed it anyway. It scared the hell out of him and he hit his head on the top part of the door frame. I repeated that the button was only for my horn and this time pointed out the fact that my car was a 4 banger adn would probably blow up if I shot it with N2O due to all the leaky gaskets. [8D]Bad cop, no doughnut!
