I was looking through a parts catalog for mustangs and i noticed there were two types of front valances. I was wondering what is the difference between the regular front valance and the R-Model Style Front Valance.

 

without seeing pics... im guessing that one is for the shelby model (should fit yours but its for the look).

 

an "R" is a race apron like on my car it deletes the front bumper and adds a larger radiator opening and duct to hook up to the front brakes

 

to hook up the front brakes??

 

see the holes without light you can get a kit the has hose to ventilat the front brakes thats what the rear side scoops on the shelbys are for also

 

It says this is designed to use the front bumper. And that it bolts on like the front valance.


It does look like the one you have on your fastback.

thats a street r model valance its allows the use of the front bumper and still provides the larger radiator opening
