Default Disc Brakes

Hey everyone, this is my first time posting on this forum, I Finally got my mustang of my dreams a 1968 mustang with a 289 v8 and a c4 tranny, the body is completly straightwith allot of extras,i bought it for 2500 was this a good deal? Anyways the first thing i want to do is change the drum brakes to disk brakes, I dont know if i should do the famous swaps from the lincolns and granadas or just buy a kit, i mean i know it cheaper to do the swap but what is the best for the long run. Should i just fix my drum brakes and save up for some high pro brakes or do the swap? thanx for the help!<IMG src=smileys/smiley16.gif border="0">

The swap will work fine for most uses. Do you plan on doing serious road racing. If not I would not worry too much about some of these kit or High pro brakes like you mentioned. If you plan on some serious drag racing a ligther brake set up would be better. Just get a little more power out of the motor to make up for the extra weight. If you do a swap do it with something that parts are still avaible new that will help out when repairs are needed. Good Luck
