Try asking for a year before 65 falcon 6 cylinder 4 lug.
Silly question is the left and right the same size?
I found some mixed up parts had been placed on my 66.

how far off are they size wise? i ask this because they are pretty hard to get on, i spent a few hours trying to get mine on and i banged them up pretty good so i had to get new ones. i could have sworn they werent the right size but then i found out i was using the wrong method to get them on. try getting some metal pipe that fits right over the dust cap and rests on the rim and bang on that with a hammer, makes it much easier to put them on. oh and you should be able to pick new ones up at your local auto parts store for like $3 each instead of going through a place like mu

hope that helps

Try gentaly taping it around the edge never hit it on the dome youll dent it.Little trick i leaned is use a socket or anything that fits on it then beat it on.

Jessie, like said above, are they nearly identical asthe originals or way off? When I built my Granada brakes, getting the dang caps on took the longest of the entire set-up. I had "thinthe lipsdown" with a bench grider and then beat those mothers on. Took me about an hour a cap...

the caps are a real pain alright (in any car).
I have ordered caps for my 64 1/2 orig 6 cyl mustang (npdlink.com)
I had no time to bang em on yet, but I'll measure them for you. So we can see if the size is same.

my money would be on: you got the correct caps as well. Do you have the originals or did you get the car with the caps missing ?

the ones I ordered with npdlink.com for my 64 1/2 6cyl is 1.5" diameter.
what I measured here was the diameter of the ring that goes in first (plugs into the circle hole around wheel bearing) ...

i'm missing one of those so I was just outside and checked. they seem to fit snuggly and perfect.

best idea would be to measure the circle where they are supposed to go in and compare that to the cap
