Default do your seats hurt your back?

ive had 70 mach 1 seats in my car for years but recenlty ive been having back problems after driving for long periods of time. i shouldnt be having back problems at such a young age. what kind of seats do you think would be better? some of my friends were saying get newer seats, like sparco or something but i dont want to really take away from the semi classic nature of the car. any tips? how late of a model mustang seats will fit in my car?

Supposedly fox body seats are nearly a direct fit, and I've seen several websites detailing the swap. You might check some out at a junkyard

Summitt Racing: ProCar Elite 2000s. They are a drop in replacement.

i've got fox seats out of a 90gt but I don't have a floor right now to mount them in. although they look identical to my 95seats minus the holder for the 3pt belt. but yeah, hook up 2 wires and you've got a power drivers seat with lumbar support and a headrest.

hm, have you always had a problem with the seats you have? mabeey they just need re-apolstered and perhaps a little firmer, or reshaped. lower back im guessing? (just ask cuz my parents are in the medical field and i might be able to tell ya something to help short term)

I hate my factory 67 'buckets,' and they've even been redone at some point. Pretty much narrow benches with imitations of side bolsters and no back or neck support. I slide all over the place in them. I feel sorry for my passenger sometimes because there's no wheel over there to grab onto. They're just not good seats.

When I bought my 69 stang I got it off ebay. It is a grande so it has the grande interior. Either way I had to pick it up in boise Idaho. And drive it back to Las Vegas. It was the most painful 14 hours of my life. Felt like my seats were devouring my back and the seats saliva was slowly dissolving my bones. It was excruciating.
