Hello, I'm thinking of upgrading my 66's mirrors because I find the round ones hard to see out of. Will the rectangular 67 style fit without modification? Also are the 67 rear view mirrors bigger horizontally as I also find this mirror in my 66 to be too small. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

 

I just installed an autodimming compass mirror in my 67. Works great. About 30 bucks on Ebay (if you bid carefully... and find one that ends at 3 am Pacific time!!). Plenty big. You'll have to spring the stock mirror free (leave the centerpiece behind to latch the sun visors) and glue on one of those modern "shoes" to the inside of the windshield. A think two conductor wire can be hidden under the lip of the windshield rubber gasket. Pick up a switched accessory lead and ground at your radio. Push the button, drive in circles a couple times and presto!! You'll know the direction that you're lost in every time!
