I'm running Wilwood Discs with the full metallic E pads. I use EXP 600/equivalant for brake fluid, but the 570 works fine too. The 600 has a muchhigher wetboiling point though. If you're boiling that stuff then your brakes are on fire.

The best brake fluid you can get is ATE Super Blue DOT 4 - it exceeds the standards for DOT 5.1 and is blue in color so you can tell when all the old fluid has gone completely. It also comes in amber - you alternate on changes

I always used EBC Green Stuff pads back home, but I hear excellent reviews on the Yellow Stuff pads. Not sure if they are available for your application.

Silicone or not depends on what type of seals the manufacturer of the master cylinder used. Wilwood for example states expressly NOT to use silicon based fluids with their m/c's for risk of seal failure. A lot of older Corvettes on the other hand specify a silicon based fluid from the factory. If you have any performance/chassis shops in your area that have any brains, you should be able to get a Wilwood 570 or equivalant fluid, they'll usually have a 570 and a 600 in stock from a few different manufacturers.

How big are your brakes, and what tires do you have? Increasing braking with bad suspension/tires won't help much. Or better pads on scrawny rotors will overheat and wear out faster, or possibly fade if they get hot enough.

The Valvoline Synpower fluid exceeds DOT3 and DOT4 specs, but doesn't state that it's DOT5:

http://www.valvoline.com/pages/products/product_detail.asp?product=51

[blockquote]
"Valvoline's Synpower High Performance Brake Fluid is recommended for all ABS, drum or disc brake systems which specify either DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid."[/blockquote]
I filled my Baer system with it a few months ago, but the car's been getting painted so no real world experiences, butthis fluid isgenerally recommended as far as I have seen.
