Default Shock Tower Clearance

I have a 65 with a 351W with the RMP adjustable motormounts so the engine is set back about an inch, I've seen some shave the towers down with the good ole hammer and i was wondering about how much room anyone has gained or how much i could expect to gain the the stock height UCA's Thanks guys!

I don't think that the 1" setback will help much with header clearance... I say this by virtue of the fit of the 351 in the 66...

Headers can be made to fit without modifying the shock towers.

Oh i agree with you 100%, they're are headers for the swap, however i have a dream of Forced induction in the form of a turbo charger....but unless i get a MII setup it probably won't be plausible...unless i do a remote mount but i dont really want to do that...
