Default Shock tower brackets

I started installing my export brace and monte carlo bar today and ran into a problem putting the shock tower brackets back on. When I try to put the nuts back on the three bolts holding the shock tower bracket on the bolts spin with the nut making it impossible to tighten them. Has anyone else had this problem? How do I fix it?

1) hold the bolt end with a vice grip while you tighten. (use a lock washer)
2) raise/lower the car from it's position so the export brace will flex and 'jamb the bolts, holding them while you tighten them.
3) if you haven't attached the firewall portion yet, do so first, then return to these bolts.

I was planning on doing that tommorow. I'll just get some new bolts with the square head and fix the problem once and for all.

I highly recommend fixing the problem once and for all. If you don't do it now, you will regret when you try to remove them years later.

they are not just carriage bolts. They are actually flat headed speciality bolts. If you're going to use carriage bolts, then grind some flat into thetop, otherwise they will separate the metal layers and the area will sit up slightly.
