i could fit a 15x8 wheel on my 66 if it has the correct backspacing right?

 

so uh. whats the backspacing i should be looking for?

 

My 17 x 8's i had before were 4.5"and they fit fine 245 tire i think

they guy has 15x8 magnums with a 4.5 backspacing. is that good? will it fit up front and clear my steering linkage and uca?

 

4.5 backspacing will fit right? how much clearance will there be between the uca and the rim?

yeah i looked. but each car is slightly different so it might not be the same for everyone. im thinking itll fit fine when the car is sitting on all 4 tires normally but when i jack up the front the wheels comes closer to the uca and i dont want it to rest on it. oh well. ill just get em and find out.

 

I would not put those on because those are not the ideal offsets and it will greatly limit the tires you can put on without rubbing.

with a 8" wide rim, you reallywant a 4.75" bs. With a 7" wide rim, you want a 4.25" bs.

note: a 8x15 with 4.75" bs will not fit on front because of upper control arm interference. You might have the same problem with the 4.5" bs, I'm not sure.
