would that cluster gear be compatable with the other gears?
I know im replacing 1st and third. and the cluster..might as well look into other sutff while im in there. I just dont want to rip up a decent gear with some super metal..just a question of $$ really

That is almost as bad as my T5 when I started out.
Make sure you find out if it a V8 or 4 cyl because the gears and the front retainer are different.
They don't make a steel bearing retainer for the 4 cyl one.

this trans was off a 93 mustang v8. saw the car too. the guy I bought it from did had a nice engine going, plans of supercharging. he said when he got the car it had been a little bit of a hackjob and the people who had it really didnt do a whole lot right. but he drove the car home, just jumping from 2 - 4 gear

I'll buy it off you for 35 ... :-) nah. couldn't afford shipping to europe for that piece.
but hey, who needs 4th gear anyway. great value I'd say, cheap money for a good case

that's right :-) they shipped a lot of stangs to Europe/Germany for the american soldiers based there (over 100.000)
As someone else had Mustang trademarked they had to remove all mustang emblems. they were called "Ford T5".

thats the fact ... here's the rumour:
German Autobahns need 5 speeds for high speed so they were all packed with those T5s.

does that car look familiar ? :-)

I would suggest replacing the aluminum bearing retainer with the steel, it will save you alot of trouble in the end, and its a very easy swap...
