Default Transmission lines

Where can I get something to (quickly) make a transmission line? Could I just use flare fittings and 3/8" fuel line hose?? After replacing the engine, mine is not going back the way it came out, and it might be kinked.

You can get the right sized steel line with fittings from autozone or advance auto. But they are stright leights so you will need to bend them where ever you need bends. They also sell benders for them.

yes..the auto parts store. They'll sell you the lengths of tube, you can rent a bender and flairing tool, and get the right fittings there also.

The transmission cooler lines are not under high pressure so you can use hose. The auto parts store will ave the right kind of hose for transmission lines. You can also get hose barb fittings there that will fit te cooler and the transmission. Many late mdel cars have hose from the factory. Having said that, I would personally usesteel lines and flared fittings that are also available at the auto parts store. More of a pain to make, but I'd still go that route.

If you don't use steel, you'll probably be doing it again!
